A big OxJam thank you for all the support!
This year we were fortunate enough to be involved in such a fantastic music event and cause called OXJAM, which was hosted in Reading on 17th October 2015.
The ‘OXJAM Reading Takeover’ was responsible for securing a whole day of music across 10 venues with some immense talent playing from midday rockin’ all the way into the evening. Get Reading reported that, ‘Approximately 60 other Oxjam Takeovers are taking place across the UK on the same day making it the largest charity music festival in the UK. Since 2009 over 1.2 million people have attended an Oxjam event.’
For more info and some fab pictures of the day OxJam Reading Music Takeover.
This year the music event not only got the whole of Reading buzzing, it was also responsible for raising quite a few £££’s for Oxfam we hear – Oxjam organiser Nigel Millson will be plugging in the official figures soon, so look out for this on facebook and twitter! For more info on the event and bands that played, you can find details at www.oxjamreading.co.uk
We got to kick of the event at RYND on Castle Street, which was an absolute honour, especially as we were also celebrating a year as, ‘Selina and the Howlin Dogs’ too!
But the party doesn’t stop for long and we’ve been invited to play at the OXJAM After Party @ The Sun Inn on Saturday 14th November.
Thanks for all of the support and we hope to be playing again at OXJAM 2016!
